blogging about not blogging
I’ve been really sad about not being able to post as much as usual lately. Since moving into this new house our internet service has been horrible and since we’re not interested in paying the $90 for the good stuff right now, I have to sit in the one perfect spot in the house long enough to write and publish a post instead of being able to post here and there when I have a few minutes. And it makes it much harder to upload pictures of the kids. It’s annoying but it has allowed me to get other things done.
Like clean up dog pee.
Big Dog, who is very much the senior citizen, throws these little temper tantrums when something happens that makes him uncomfortable. On day four of whatever it is that’s bugging him he’ll start peeing in the house, like, directly in front of us while looking at us in complete defiance, then he’ll continue to do so for up to a week after things are back to normal to really hammer in his disapproval. This last time Ryan was out at sea was particularly bad and I have no idea what we’re going to do when he deploys for 7 months next year. All I have to say is I am so very glad we don’t have carpet in this house and I never want to have a dog ever again.
Also, being on the computer less has allowed me more time to grow children and I can prove it.
Lucy 8 months ago, the perfect day she was born, at home:
Lucy a few weeks ago: The most adorable dress she is wearing in the picture is a gift from Great Aunt Sharon and Great Uncle Len and she isn’t smiling because she really wanted to eat the grass and and I wouldn’t let her because I don’t want her to turn into a sheep.
In the last 8 months I’ve taught her how to roll over, sit up, crawl, pull up on things, climb the stairs, cruise the couch, clean the floor, pull everything off the coffee table, and pretty much get her own way EVERY TIME.
This is hard work, yall.
And I suppose I should jump off here now because we have super duper friends coming over today and I need to make sure sheets are washed fresh and I should probably wipe down all the sticky doorknobs.
YAY FOR SEEING GOOD FRIENDS!
