I put metalic gold garland on the 4 thriving Sego Palm trees that I keep on my front porch. I’m thinking of hangng some plastic-y round ornaments from them too.

Florida rocks something awesome. You are all coming to visit. Yes. Yes you are.

(Like my use of Jedi mind tricks there?)

I got dis biwd on me

image

Surprisingly enough Jesse was very comfortable holding the birds in the zoo aviary during our visit earlier today. He asked, I can have dis biwd?

The zoo-lady commented on how very calm my toddler was with the birds all flying around and wacking us in our heads with their wings and landing on us.

His behavior definitely stumped me too. I guess he likes birds.

I don’t like alligators because they persistently tormented my child-self every single night when I had to get back into bed after going potty because they made their home in the darkness under my bed just waiting for the opportune moment to eat my feet.

I was an odd kid.

Yeah. We got our entire family in there and it was awesome. And a little painful.

Off to look at the alligators.

At zoo, found large bird, got eaten. Almost.

This bird looked like it was sizing my boys up for a meal. He was very serious and foreboding.

He’s at least three times larger than he looks in the picture. And he had a beak of fury.

Today has been weird. It’s cold outside, only 62 degrees(!), I haven’t been sleeping again. Also, Lucy is finally getting some teeth and I don’t care what you say, babies CAN and DO get fevers when they are teething. And it doesn’t matter if there isn’t a reason for it because it happens. I know because I have been there. I have 8 kids and they all have teeth and I was there when they got them and there were fevers.
Some questions just don’t have answers.

I actually feel like not blogging at all. However, in my commitment to post regular pictures of my family I figured I’d better put something on here so I give you Little Dog because I’m trying really hard not to be angry with him and this picture Kait took definitely helps.

And also:

My family.
Our friend, Chuck, took this picture of us the other day on our beach.

As you can tell, my smaller children have not yet developed family picture taking skillz. Ben was very serious, Sam forgot what we were doing, and Jesse was working so hard to get Lucy to smile and look at the camera that he failed to smile and look at the camera himself.  This is very indicitive of our actual unposed life so now you know what it’s like to be me. Okay, not really but you can imagine. Kind of.
