A Camera Saga
We have a really nice camera. It’s one of those nice sized digital ones where you can change out the lens. That’s about the only way I know to describe cameras. There are the small ones you tie around your wrist and the big ones you hang around your neck.
I had the wrist kind and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was easy and I took gobs of pictures with it. It just sat by my computer or in my purse. I always had it right where I needed it. I still have it but now it sucks the life out of new batteries in about 3 minutes. It costs $.50 just to turn it on – and that’s with Dollar Tree batteries. The more expensive batteries don’t fare any better. They just cost more.
Anyway, I’ve had to break out the neck camera. I like it but it is way more complicated. Point and shoot is enough of a learning curve for me. That and I have a hard time getting the big camera out each time I want to take a picture. I like candid shots but by the time I get the camera out and get the lens on my opportunity to take a great picture is usually gone.
I would love to just keep it out all the time but the hubster is not for that. It is an expensive camera – one he didn’t save a dime for but just bought on the spur of the moment new off eBay a few years ago. He isn’t about to see it ruined after such a silly act of stupidity (one we laugh about now).
I’m going to have to figure out something because I’m desperate to get more pictures. Maybe I’ll have to commandeer Kait’s wrist camera.
