A Job Well Done
One of our kitchen cupboards came off the hinges yesterday. This morning it was still hanging off. Joe (9) asked me if I would like him to go get his drill and fix it. I said sure, if you would like to that would be very nice but we are going to tear these cupboards out soon.
He proceeded down stairs to get his drill from the garage. Then he worked to get the job done.
It didn’t occur to me that what Joe had just done was very grown up until I was telling my husband about our day. That he saw a job that needed to be done (a guy job at that) and that he happily went about fixing the problem was such a big guy thing to do. He
