Growing is tough and Maggie’s been doing a little too much of it lately.  Her favorite boots are no longer easy to slip on, razor sharp teeth are trying to break through her gums, she’s big enough to open the front door but not old enough to go out on her own…  It’s frustrating, I’m sure.

Gabe is really good with kids and he has the oddest imagination and those two things combined really come in handy when you have a toddler going through a particularly difficult time. Yesterday while Maggie was having a particularly frustrating evening Gabe pulled out a gallon ziploc bag, drew a face on it, filled it with air and zipped it closed.   Then he handed it to Maggie.

She hugged it and gave it a kiss and was instantly satisfied by the plastic noise it made when she gave it a squish. Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the biggest difference.

Also, just a note for people who misplaced their brain…
Ziplocs can be a suffocation hazard.  They are made of plastic.  Don’t stick one over your head or let your kid stick one over their head.
Just thought I’d cover my butt there real quick-like.
