Dumpster diving at it’s easiest.
Our neighbors were tossing wheeling heavily this piano into the trash so my husband said, Are you throwing that in the trash? and the neighbor said, Yes. Do you want it? and Rabbit said, Yes! and now we have an old piano with keys that don’t work and a $500 estimate on making those keys work again.
And it’s so pretty, people, and it dates back to the 1890’s. It needs a little work but we’re going to have it fixed up nice. The kids are all loving it and Kait plays and she can’t wait until we have it tuned and working properly.
But it’s seriously taking up so much room in my once minimal-ish looking living room. It’s driving me crazy and I’ve got to figure out how to re-work my arrangement in here to make everything fit well again because nobody wants a crazy person for a mom.
I would like to say to you all that Rabbit was able to lift this piano into the house BY HIMSELF PEOPLE. He is Superman!
