Escape Plan – yeah, we’re on it!
Ryan and I decided jump into Kim & Jason’s Escape Plan. Kim & Jason have worked hard building a mini-empire devoted to curing Adultitis, described by Adultitis.org as: chronic dullness, mild depression, moderate to extremely high stress levels, a general fear of change, and, in some extreme cases, the inability to smile.
Their Escape Plan Challenges adults to get out there and have fun, be silly and smile. I am in love with this idea!
Ryan, the hubster, has never been an ‘old’ adult. I, however, have struggled with it. Ryan has helped because the man is just silly and he makes me laugh all the time, but I could still use all the help I can get.
When I told Ryan that I needed to spend my ‘allowance‘ on something childish, which is what Kim & Jason’s Escape Plan challenged us to do last week, he didn’t say much. We went to the store to pick up a few things last night and when we walked past the isle with all the cheap toys on it he stopped and said “oh, I have to get my toy!” I was so happy he remembered and that he wanted to participate with me! I can’t say I was surprised though.
After much deliberation he picked out a little squirt gun. He usually prefers the kitchen sprayer but he can cart the squirt gun around with him and catch us off guard easier.
I was quick to pick up the Jacks. I remember LOVING playing Jacks on our foyer floor when I was a kid. I practiced and practiced so when Stacey (a childhood friend) came over I could compete. It was a lot of fun and brought back fond memories.
Here is Ryan, posing with his new, beloved, semi-automatic squirt gun.
I got my 80′s hair on and played Jacks on the floor for the first time in about 20 years!
Hey Ryan, I know I told you already, but for my birthday I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want a membership to Club K&J!!! Just a sweet and friendly reminder!!!
Keep an eye out for these weekly challenges - I plan on making a habit out of them!

Sweet gun and classic 80s hair.
Great job!
I kinda like this idea, I think I will borrow your idea as see if Mark is up to being a big kid with me.
Lisa – glad you liked it. Kim & Jason have a good one this week. Take a peek later in the week and see how I take an ordinary routine and change it up a bit to make it silly and fun!
I still haven’t figured out what I am going to do yet. ~:O)
Jason,
Thanks for the comment and the encouragment.
My 13 year old daughter saw my hair and gasped. I think she was amazed I actually put the picture online.
