It’s a strange thing to have your kids running through a stomach bug while you’re visiting friends.

This bug is the less bad kind. And I can give thanks for that. It’s quick, doesn’t include fever or aches, and makes you real tired so you sleep through most of it.

And sleeping kids are way cuter than puking kids. At least in my opinion.

It’s still vomit, I know, and Jesse’s curdled milk smells so bad. I’m just trying to make the best of things.

Like when Jesse threw up earlier most of it was contained by me and my shirt and not by my friend’s pretty off white couch. I can rest easy knowing I saved her couch. At least most of it.

I am now my own hero.

Then I went the extra mile and wisely cloned Sonics tatertot breakfast burritos for everybody this morning. Now when the next person in line for this flu tosses up it’ll likely be quite colorful.

I’m super thoughtful like that.

The family we’re staying with is taking it all frighteningly well. They have been generous with their washer, they keep their water heater on 24/7, and had this same bug just a week ago.
It’s good to know we aren’t thanking them for having us over by gifting them this most precious of flu bugs.
