I did 20!
After Monday’s push ups my arms were Hurting (yes, with a capital H). My max was 6 and I was completely satisfied with that awesome accomplishment. The pain that followed served well to remind me that I was actually accomplishing something good with my body.
So, imagine my surprise when today, just 2 days later, I was able to max out at 20 push ups!
YEAYAH!
I’ll leave off the fact that I think my arms have been replaced by sticks of pain.
I’m not talking about the girly push ups either. I’m talking about good form regular push ups. I’m saying this not to brag, but to assure you that it can be done.
And while I’m quite impressed with how well this program is working, this isn’t anything out of the norm. The program expects that the average person starting at 1 to 5 push ups at the beginning of the program will hit at least 16 by the end of the second week. Friday is the end of my second week and I’m hitting 20 – and feeling pretty darn awesome about it!
