I uncovered the bedroom floor and found space to breath
Last night we had a pretty stout storm roll through. It was the kind where the sounds of the wind gusts drowned out the booms of the non-stop rolling thunder. Since we had just moved in here I was a little concerned about some things we might have left on the porch so I got up just to do a quick check.
I tripped over the dog who was laying in the only clear space on our bedroom floor. I lept over a pile of clothes and side stepped a stack of odds and ends I hadn’t been able to put away yet. It irritated me to have all that junk spread out all over my floor. I knew it would be cleaned up soon but we just moved and I had made the kitchen and living area more of a priority.
It was because of that sleepy, olympic event that I decided today to scratch my plans of finishing up the living room and work on the bedroom. After all, isn’t the bedroom where we rest? Don’t I want my haven to be neat and orderly, to feel good, and more importantly, be a relaxing place for my husband?
I think I’m going to concentrate harder on keeping the master bedroom in better order, too.
I worked hard on it this morning and what a delight it is, now that it’s mostly put together, to be able to put the work of homemaking behind me and just breath. Maybe I’ll just hang out in there for the rest of the day.

I felt the exact same way after cleaning the garage last Monday… “Kids, if you need anything Mommy is out in the garage.”
Oh, the contentment of a space well cleaned
Greatings, Not sure that this is true:), but thanks for a post.

Elcoj,
Thanks for the comment. Not sure what you mean is untrue – it isn’t an unbelievable post – but thanks for reading!
