MORE Safeway Rally Deals!
Ryan wasn’t able to get to Safeway before the toothpaste deal ended. But, he did get me 15 cans of Manwich and 10 cans of Delmote diced tomatoes for $6.25 after savings and our $20 Catalina. Plus, we got back another $20 Catalina to use last night. I can’t find the receipt so I can’t do the breakdown but here is the savings breakdown from last night’s trip.
(Sorry there are no pictures. My kids got everything put away before I had the chance!)
Last night we got the following:
14 cans of S&W kidney beans
4 boxes Fruit Gushers
4 boxes Fruit Rollups
3 bottles Joy Dish Liquid
$49.43 total
$28.29 after savings
$8.89 after using our $20 Catalina
Plus, we got another $20 Catalina!
So, $8.89 isn’t bad at all, eh?
So far, this Safeway deal has yeilded us a lot of food for little cost.
Our total from 6 trips to Safeway was $211.58 (actually, it was more but I didn’t count other coupons and savings in my first couple posts about it)
What we actually paid was $80.29 and we have used over $100 in Catalinas!
If I had not made my pricing mistake on Tuesday it would have been more like $65 out of pocket. Also, we did have to pay $30 out of pocket to get the first $20 Catalina.
We have 6 kids and they eat A LOT of food. My 13 year old daughter eats more than my husband, and he is not a small sized man! The food we got is already being gobbled up at lunch and dinner. Kait made Chili Cheese fries for dinner for her brothers and herself last night while we were gone. She has also made chili mac and she got creative with Pasta Roni this week.
Also, what I also like about canned and boxed goods we are stocking up on with the rally deal is that we will be moving in a few months and we can take all that stuff with us, unlike fresh foods which don’t travel well.
We got the kids the fruit gushers and rollups because, well, they don’t get goodies like that ever. I don’t know if I have ever purchased a boxed snack like that. I often wonder who purchases that stuff. Maybe I have, I just don’t recall. My kids are REALLY cute so I couldn’t resist spoiling them with these savings.
We will probably be able to squeaze only two or three more trips in before the deal is over on the 26th. Even after that, the last Catalina will be good until April. I have a bunch of coupons for Cheerios and we can always use more diced tomatoes. Maybe I will get more dish soap, too.
I will let yall know!
