sick has our number
You know the fever was high when there are beads of sweat rolling down his face an hour after you gave him Motrin.
My poor boys.
I’m so completely bored. I’ve stationed myself and Lucy in my bedroom and quarantined my boys to the living room. The chemical-ish smell of hand sanitizer is a lingering presence. And there are a lot of dramatic coughing noises coming from the next room.
At least I have my new adorable little laptop which I’m using to preview Netflix shows for my kids to keep them satisfied with brand new stuff to watch while they’re feeling cruddy.
And I have this brand new 12 day old adorable baby girl to cuddle.
And Kait. Who comes in here to drive me nuts keep me company often. And steal little baby daughter.
I hope this illness passes quickly. I totally want to have plans this weekend! Lucy has people to meet.

Wha?!? Are you coming this weekend??
I’m so sorry sickness has hit your house. I pray they recover quickly and that you and the baby don’t catch it.
I’d like to visit this weekend but RSV can last up to 8 days. Matthew is on day 5 and is still sick
I really don’t think Lucy will get sick. I think I was first exposed to it before she was born so that is a plus for her. Still, we’re being extra careful with her.
If we can’t come this weekend we’ll be there the weekend of the 19th, I think.
I’ll keep you guys posted when we know for sure.
Are you sure the boys have RSV?
Not positive. But we are one family out of about 6 at our church who are sick. Two of those families have babies who were hospitalized and tested positive for RSV. One is a family of 7 whose kids were all diagnosed with it. Our symptoms are identical so it’s a well educated guess. Plus, it’s the only place I can think of that we would catch something. We haven’t really gone anywhere and the neighbor kids haven’t been sick at all.
As of right now it’s just like a bad cold with a stubborn fever – no biggy. But if it is RSV it isn’t something I want to spread, you know?
I totally understand. We are just getting over the cough thing and I don’t want it again. That thing spreads so quickly. Yuck! I hope your boys get better soon and that the rest of you stay well.
I’m just saying the 19th is Sam’s birthday and he would totally think y’all came just to celebrate his birthday
My Birthday is the 20th!
Yea! We can have a big birthday celebration!!
Oh, and I hope you all get better soon!!
Me too. Seriously. I’m already feeling impatient about it all. I keep having to remind myself that nobody is throwing up. And Lucy isn’t sick. And to be thankful.
We must have shared blog germs because we just got over what sounds to be the same thing. It was awful! Bucket had it the worst and is was yucky. I pray you get better quick, that Lucy doesn’t get it, and that you are able to give everyone plenty of time to re-coup. Traveling with sickies is never fun!
Yeah – I’m not traveling anywhere with sick kids.
I’m pretty sure we’ll be waiting a couple of weeks to make our trip. Sam just came down sick yesterday and Matthew is on day 6 now.
It’s yucky.
ech. So sorry. Makes you thankful for feeling good so often, doesn’t it. Thinking of y’all.
