Thanks Be To Nana
This post is mainly for you, mom. I finally admit it – sometimes you do know what you are talking about, LOL.
My dear mother is the main reason that Kait is playing piano so well. Without my mom’s overwhelming encouragement I may not have ever sought music lessons for my children, or even understood the importance of it. Kaitlyn, being the oldest, is the first to have music as a major part of her homeschooling studies. She has had 3 years of piano, the first two amounting to almost nothing. Kaitlyn really didn’t learn much in her first two years – she was quite young at the time and really only learned to pound out basic songs like “Row Row Row Your Boat” and such.
This past year with Molly, an amazing piano teacher – 90 years old, very old fashioned, and quite difficult for Kait to take at times (although that is what makes her such a great piano teacher) Kait has learned more than I could have imagined. Her piano skills, after only one year, have really improved. I am sure this next year will prove to be even more positive! I will be sad next year when we move. I am sure we won’t be able to convince Molly to come with us. ~:O(
So, here she is playing at her recital a few months ago. She makes me so proud!
