the gas-man

Sam was sitting beside my friend, Becky, with this gas mask on because that’s the kind of stuff my kids wear. I asked him what he was doing with a gas mask on and he said, I am the Gas-Man.
Not really sure what the Gas-Man is but I’m guessing it’s some kind of superhero. Kind of like Shoveler or The Blue Raja, maybe.
I probably don’t need to ask what the Gas-Man’s superpower is.
He is his father’s son so it seems a bit obvious to me.

Claire: Mom, when I grow up I am going to smoke.
Me: What?! Why?
Claire: Because I want to see smoke come out of my mouth. I have gas coming out of my hiney…
Accompanied with a total why-do-you-even-need-to-ask-everyone-knows-this-shrug.
