This week’s giveaway! Cocoa Puffs Combos – FREE Coupons!
I have a great giveaway for y’all this week! 3 lucky winners will receive a coupon for FREE Cocoa Puffs Combos cereal! Woohoo!
Cocoa Puffs Combos are one of the newest cereals out and they. are. good. My 6 children and I tried them over the weekend and we ate almost two boxes of them!
As you can probably tell from the box Cocoa Puffs Combos look quite similar to Cocoa Puffs. That is because they are. The same little bird, Sonny, is on the front and the box is brown, too.
Traditional Cocoa Puffs are round balls of puffed corn that have a sweet, somewhat chocolaty cocoa flavor. Cocoa Puffs Combos are a little different. Added in with those same round dark brown puffs are round yellowish puffs with a definite vanilla flavor.
My kids and I poured our bowls and added the milk. We had just grocery shopped the day before and a couple of my children really wanted to eat a different cereal I had picked up but they settled for the Combos without complaint. After the first bite, however, they were all about this new cereal and wanted more. My 3 year old even asked for it for lunch and dinner – both to which I said ‘no’.
After we all ate some I asked what they liked about the Cocoa Puffs Combos.
Here were the pros they gave me.
- They stayed crunchy through the entire breakfast where many cereals go soggy by the end.
- They were sweet and the vanilla flavor was very good.
- Although the box looks small there is a lot of cereal in it.
- Even though they look a lot like Cocoa Puffs they had a very different taste.
- They make excellent snacks – just grab a handful and go.
- The baby, 15 months, couldn’t really voice his opinion but he was extremely excited about these combos. I tried to get it on video because it was very funny but you know how kids are – as soon as you turn on the camera they always stop doing whatever it is you were trying to record.
There were a few cons but not many. These are my personal cons – not my children’s’.
- Even though General Mills has tried to over the years to make their cereals more healthy, the added sugar in these Combos means they aren’t all that good for you.
- They were hard to come by. We had to stop at a lot of stores before we found them.
- The box of Cocoa Puffs and the box of Cocoa Puffs Combos looked very similar making it hard for me to spot them on Winn-Dixie’s vast cereal isle.
- The vanilla flavor totally over-rides the cocoa flavor. This isn’t exactly a con for me, I love the vanilla flavor, but some people might be a tad disappointed.
Retail value of these coupons are up to $5.33

My favorite cereal moment was making fruit loop necklaces… either in Kindergarten or in a VBS… I just remember sitting around a lunchroom table with bowls of fruit loops and long pieces of yarn with those big plastic needles on them. I look forward to doing those with my kids, too!
I have celiac disease, so I won’t be eating them (unfortunately). But I know that my kids (3.5 and 21 mo) and husband (my 32 year old kid at heart) would eat them for breakfast and snacks!
(If I win, you are welcome to contact me through my blog or the email address attached to it… but I read your blog daily
)
Cookie Crisp..I loved all chocolate cearls back then and still do.
My favorite cereal moment would be getting the prize out of the box. They don’t seem to do that much anymore. Since everyone in my house loves cereal, I am sure we would all enjoy it, but chocolate is my favorite, so I would probably sneak in a few extra bowls for me.
My favorite cereal memory is with my father. Every morning I would wake up to my father being downstairs. He was always the first one up! He would always make me a bowl of cereal as well as for himself. We would sit together and talk about all the fun things we would be doing that day. My father passed away when I was 7, however this memory is still strong!
The person that would most likely eat Cocoa Puffs would be my husband! He is like a kid. We always buy Cocoa Puffs because he is addicted to chocolate!
I don’t have a blog so I wasn’t able to do Entry #2.
Thank you for giving me an opportunity to win those coupons!

My fav memory is eating cereal for dinner or dessert.
Still do & I am 38.
My 9 yr old & I will be the ones to eat this cereal.
The toddler may have one or two but I stick with Cheerios for him!
I don’t know that I have a favorite cereal “moment” from childhood, but I do remember eating Kaboom! cereal with my sisters on a regular basis. As for who will eat the Cocoa Puffs Combos at our house, it is likely to be all of us (except our 2 month old). Chances are we will all get about 1 bowl and the box will gone.

My favorite cereal memory is the first time my Grandmother and I made rice krispy treats, except that for a delicious twist, it was w/ Fruity Pebbles. MMmmmmm.
I would say my chocolate loving pregnant self and my two children will be in competition to see who eats the most, hehe.
God Bless!

Favorite cereal memory… I remember getting so excited whenever the cereal box would have a prize in it. They used to bury the toy down in the cereal, so it would also be a race for my sister and I to see who could eat the bowl of cereal that would expose the toy.
My husband would love this cereal!
You could contact me through my blog or the email attached if I win! Thank you!
My fave cereal was fruit loop as well. Me and my BFF used to collect and separate them by colors. If I got Cocoa Puffs Combos, my twin DDs would be thrilled as well as my DH. They love cocoa puff already.

My fave childhood cereal was cap’n crunch. He and I were buddies. DH is most likely to snack on these, perhaps as part of the work lunch we pack him each day.
Thanks for offering them!

I grew up in a country that didn’t have cereal, so no childhood cereal memories here… But I do enjoy eating cereal with my girls, so we’re creating memories now
My daughters (3 and 7 years old) would be the main eaters of Cocoa Puffs if we win.
Thanks so much for giving us a chance!
My favorite cereal as a child was Apple Jacks, my second was Peanut Butter Capn Crunch.
My kids would devour Coco Puffs (my hubby would try it too I am sure!)
My favorite cereal moment was when I was three-ish. My sister had Kix cereal on her high chair, (my favorite) and I kept reaching over and taking one at a time off her high chair. She would screech and my mom would look over. Finally I just said, “Please Lizzy! Can I have just one more kick!” Priceless! My mom sent that in to the company and got coupons for free cereal! I think it’s adorable.
My husband and I are both suckers for sweet cereal. Its a must have in our pantry.

I don’t have good cereal memories…my mom only ever bought boring, healthy cereal :0(
My hubby loves sugary cereal, so I think he’ll be battling the kids for the box.
Great giveaway! Count me in. bebemiqui82(at)yahoo(dot)com
I loved any cereal that would turn my milk a different color. This would be for me.
