what’s goin’ on all up in here lately…

I’m going to try to wrap up for you in a short post a bunch of stuff that has been going on around here these last few days.

First, here is a picture of the shells the Rabbit has been collecting for me.

Wait, where is the picture?
If you guess that it wasn’t here then you guessed right. Because all the internets in the world hate me and I can’t upload pictures at all to any of my blogs because Go Daddy doesn’t seem to know what a partition file is or how to empty it or something. To be honest, neither do I. However, if it were my business to know this I would. Also, I would be very good at it.
So, as I search for a new host so I can move all my blogs over and get to posting pictures again I’m going to pretend like I’m posting pictures.
Here is not one of seashells.

The Rabbit definitely has more of an eye for cool shells than I do. The small conch, he found. The large conch – him. All 4 sand dollars – him. The whelks, the sharks eye, the Atlantic calicos… All him. Well, I think I found one or two of them but mostly they were all him. I’m cleaning and preserving them and they are all going to be so pretty when I’m done.
Also, there was an armadillo in our garden last night about 4 feet in front of where Kait was sitting on the porch. After careful consideration we decided not to try to clean and preserve him and just let him go on his way.
And there is a mange-y orange cat that lives in the sewage drain in our neighborhood and he’s a little too friendly. We’re probably all going to die of mange-y-cat-ebola.
I would like a live unicorn at my funeral.

And this sign can be found about a quarter mile away from our house.

And I opened a Zazzle store and you are going to buy stuff from it.

Ebates is having a double cash back sale right now for back to school junk. You might like to check it out. I just got a check from Ebates today for $32.64 and the last one I got from them was $25 something. Not bad for doing nothing but clicking through them for stuff I was going to buy anyway.

Also, I won at carpet cleaning poker today.
I called about having our carpets in the old house cleaned and the quote was somewhere around $70 but after discussing it with the scheduling girl we both figured it would be a little bit more than that because I was unsure of the square footage and we had some high traffic spots. So the guy shows up and does a quick look around and said it would be $199 and I decided right then and there that I was totally calling his bluff and was like, No way, and he was like $149 and that’s the best I can do, and I was like, Um, sorry but no because the lady on the phone said a little bit more than the originally quoted $70 and a little more does not equal double, and carpet guy just stared at me and was like, Well?, and so I explained to him that if we don’t have our carpets cleaned the landlord will only take $125 out of our deposit and no way was I going to pay more than that and that I had expected to pay about $100 or $110 and he said, I can’t do it for less than $149, and I was like, It would be silly for me to pay you more than $125. That would be throwing $25 in the trash. And he tried to stare me down so I said, Never mind then. I’m really sorry you had to drive all the way out here for nothing, and then he huffed a little and said, Well, I’ll do it for $110, and I was like, Deal.
