Wrappin’ it up for you because it’s Saturday. Or Monday. Whatever.
A week and a half ago our friends Carrie and John came to visit us all the way from snowy Montana. The first night they stayed with us I awoke from a peaceful slumber at 3am with the sudden realization that I had forgotten to give them the pillows that I had washed and dried earlier in the day so my guests would have nice, fresh, and clean pillows that smelled of Downy and Tide but it doesn’t even matter that they were fresh and clean and smelled of Downy and Tide because I never gave the pillows to them because I’m only the WORST HOSTESS EVER.
But I made it up to them by offering 75 degree weather and a beach the next day.
John and Carrie left on Friday and on Saturday my Aunt Sharon and Uncle Len stopped in for a quick visit while they were in town for a military function. It’s always a good time seeing them but Kait had some friends over and it was LOUD UP IN HERE! I had to get my serious voice on. Seriously.
Monday Big Dog passed away. I wrote about that. I miss the old boy. But then that night, in an attempt to lighten the mood, Little boy Cat invented bridging. Which is the new owling. Which was the new planking. He’s progressive.
Also, I just want to say that putting kitty claw covers over Little Boy Cat’s nails was actually quite comical. I really should have gotten some video.
And, as if we didn’t have enough to sigh in a negative way about, our dryer caught fire and we didn’t even know until it’s stopped working and Rabbit opened it up to find it all burned up inside and that is seriously freaking me out. He got new parts for it and repaired it like new but I’m still afraid to run it at night even though Rabbit says it’s good to go.
Then our fish died out of nowhere. Never acted sick or anything.
He wasn’t pretty or cute or anything. Actually, he was kind of freaky looking but we liked him and WHY THE HECK ARE ALL MY PETS DYING?
Then one of our friends was in town from across the country doing some pilot training and he stayed over a night and it was so good to see a BFTKC face. I wish the whole family could have come. I miss my bestie.
And then Lucy…
After dinner, still at the table while her brothers finished up eating, she stole sour cream container and turned around in her high chair so the boys couldn’t see her eating out of it.
The little stinker. She is so. obnoxiously. adorable.
I know I’m forgetting stuff. I’ll probably have to do another wrap-up later because I’ll be all like, DANG! I can’t believe I forgot about that!

Yeah, the dryer on fire would have freaked me out too. It’s good to have a handy hubby to stay on top of things like that.
And yes, Lucy is flippin’ adorable, and most certainly a genius. I can’t wait to see her walking!!
Miss you guys.

It is good to have a handy dandy husband around.
Lucy is too adorable for her own good, really. Instead of teaching her not to grab stuff off the table, I called for Kait to grab her camera and we all stood around laughing and taking pictures.
That’ll teach her.
I’ve become so weak, Becky. So, so weak.
